Start your day by exercising
If you make it a habit to get up early every morning and exercise for at least 30 minutes, you won't have to find excuses to do it later in the day when you're tired. Also, studies have shown that people who exercise in the morning are relatively slimmer and healthier than those who workout later in the day. You can also go for morning walks. Just carry hand weights and walk fast.
Eat a heavy breakfast
All meals are important, but breakfast is what helps you start your day on the right track. The heartiest breakfasts are ones that keep you full, hence you don't stave off cravings later in the day. Eat at least 500 calories for your breakfast. Also, include a source of lean protein plus filling fat (e.g. eggs, beans, unsweetened Greek yoghurt, nuts) and fibre (veggies, fruit or 100% whole-grains). Starting your day with a blood-sugar-stabilizing blend of nutrients will help you lose weight.
